Camberwell Junction was a well known and major suburban commercial area. Nearly all office accommodation was in first floor areas above shopfronts on Burke Road, north of the junction.

Wolfstep saw the need for specifically targeted office accommodation commensurate with the status of the Camberwell Junction precinct.

Despite concerns expressed by several property experts, Wolfstep proceeded with its groundbreaking 6 level office project of 4,000 sq.m with basement car parking.

This project was the first of its kind in the area and was the catalyst for future commercial development in the precinct.

The building was quickly let to a variety of professional users, Commonwealth Government and bank, all of whom relocated from substandard accommodation in the area.

Indeed the excess of demand immediately spawned another similar project, 689 Burke Road.
